To sleep at the Skylodge Adventure Suites in the Sacred Valley of Cusco, Peru, guests must either climb 400 meters via Ferrata or enjoy a thrilling 40-minute hike to the first zipline—the adventure begins before you even arrive! This once-in-a-lifetime experience includes a luxury overnight stay in a transparent hanging capsule, with gourmet dinner and wine, breakfast with a view, and round-trip transportation from Cusco, all guided by our professional bilingual team. Opened in June 2013, Skylodge became the world’s first hanging lodge, created by Natura Vive to share the beauty of the mountains with travelers of all abilities (ages 15+). Whether you’re a thrill-seeker or a nature lover, Skylodge Peru offers an unforgettable blend of adventure, comfort, and breathtaking scenery high above the Sacred Valley.
Important Information
The Natura Vive Skylodge Adventure Suites consist of three exclusive transparent capsule suites, with a total capacity for up to 8 guests. Perched 400 meters (1,200 ft) high on a cliff face, these luxury hanging pods offer a thrilling stay with a 300-degree panoramic view of the majestic Sacred Valley of the Incas. Each capsule is handcrafted from aerospace-grade aluminum and weather-resistant polycarbonate, ensuring both safety and comfort in this unique high-altitude environment.
Measuring 24 feet in length and 8 feet in height and width, each Skylodge suite features four cozy beds, a dining area, and a private bathroom—all designed to deliver a first-class experience. The suite includes six windows and four ventilation ducts to maintain a fresh and comfortable atmosphere. Solar-powered lighting provides eco-friendly illumination, including four interior lamps and a personal reading light.
The private bathroom is separated by an insulated wall and features a dry ecological toilet and sink, along with a 1.8-meter transparent dome that offers incredible views—even from the bathroom. For privacy, guests can draw the curtains and relax in peace, while fine-quality mattresses, cotton sheets, down pillows, and warm quilts ensure a cozy and restful night—400 meters above the ground. DAY 1
2:00 PM Pickup from hotel – Cusco City
3:30 PM Arrival in Pachar
3:30 PM – 4:00 PM Safety briefing – Equipment pickup
3:00 PM – 4:00 PM Ascent (depending on the activity chosen: Zip Line or Via Ferrata)
5:30 PM – 6:00 PM Arrival at SkyLodge Adventure Suites, where we welcome you with mate or coffee
6:00 PM – 6:30 PM Safety briefing and instructions on how to operate the lodge
8:00 PM Dinner
DAY 2:
According to the itinerary of the passengers for this day, the wake up call and breakfast are scheduled. Generally it is:
7:00 AM Coffee and/or mate in the capsule
8:00 AM Breakfast in the dining room
9:00 AM – 11:00 AM Descent (depending on the activity chosen)
11:30 AM – 1:00 PM Journey from Pachar to Cusco
1:00 PM Arrival in Cusco City
What to Bring to your Skylodge Adventure
To ensure a safe and comfortable experience at the Skylodge Adventure Suites, please review the following recommendations:
✔ Clothing & Gear:
- Wear comfortable hiking clothes—no shorts, as temperatures can drop quickly.
- Hiking boots or sturdy running shoes are essential for climbing and stability.
- Bring warm thermal layers, a thermal jacket, and a down jacket for nighttime, especially during the coldest months (June to August).
- Pack your personal hygiene essentials (toothbrush, toothpaste), as there are no showers at the lodge.
✔ Packing Tips:
Bring a small, lightweight daypack with only essentials.
- Extra luggage can be safely stored at our Urubamba office, and we’ll deliver it to you the next day with your return transportation.
✔ Water & Sustainability:
- Carry at least 1 liter of water.
- You’re welcome to bring a reusable water bottle—we provide purified water at our base to refill before and after the activity.
- Help us support eco-friendly travel in Peru—reduce plastic use and respect the environment by recycling and reusing.
